Let’s Make Some Baked Tofu Nuggets!

Updated: Dec 29, 2021

Tofu is such a great food for Baby Led Weaning and Bennett still loves it as a Toddler. It is soft in texture, incredibly nutritious and a great plant-based Protein option. When Bennett was younger, I would give him Tofu raw or lightly cooked on the stove but now that he is 14 months I can season and bake it more so it has more flavor and texture. I get so many questions about how I make my Tofu for Bennett and I am so excited to share my favorite way to make it. This recipe is easy and creates delicious Tofu Nuggets that your little one will love. Has your little one tried Tofu yet?? Keep reading for the full recipe!

Ingredients:

  • Three Tablespoons Avocado or Olive Oil

  • Two Teaspoons Garlic Powder

  • One Teaspoon Onion Powder

  • One Teaspoon Paprika

  • Two Teaspoons Corn Starch

  • *Optional: One Tablespoon Nutritional Yeast

  • One Pack Tofu

How to Make Them:

Start by draining your cube of extra firm Tofu then cut in half. Using a paper towel or clean kitchen towel, wrap and press the Tofu to drain the extra liquid. Once drained cut your Tofu into large cubes and add them into a large bowl. Add in your Avocado or Olive Oil and mix. Next add in your seasonings and the corn starch and combine until each cube is coated. Place Tofu cubes onto an oiled baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes, flipping them over halfway through.
