Let’s Make Some Banana Bread!
Banana Bread is one of my favorite treats! My mom makes amazing Banana Bread and I always loved to eat it growing up. But for Baby Led Weaning I wanted to make a version that had cleaner and simpler ingredients, a sweet treat for Bennett that was still healthy. This is a super simple recipe, perfect for the entire family! Bennett has been loving this Banana bread lately! As always you can sub the one egg for 1/4 of no sugar added applesauce if your little one can’t eat eggs.
Why Bananas?
Bananas are one of the best baby led weaning foods. Not only for its sweet taste and easy to eat texture but also for its high nutrition. Bananas are of course high in potassium but also have several key vitamins and minerals such as B6, C, and Manganese.
Ingredients:
One Ripe Banana
One Egg
Two Tablespoons Maple Syrup *Optional
1/4 Cup Almond Milk
One Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 Cup Oat Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
How To Make Them:
Start by mashing one banana and whisking in one egg. Add in your milk of choice and the maple syrup, oat flour, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Add the mixture into a greased baking pan and place into the oven at 365 degrees for 20 minutes, make sure this is fully cooked throughout before giving to your little one.
