Let’s Make Some Cinnamon Apple Slices!
I promise your kitchen is going to smell AMAZING after making this yummy recipe! I love making cinnamon baked apples for myself and I just knew that if I simplified the recipe just a tad it would be great for babies and toddlers and man does my little guy eat these right up! These Cinanamon Apple Slices are sweet but have no added sugar and are the perfect texture for your little one to eat with no problem. With only five ingredients and very minimal prep time this is a super simple recipe to follow and it’s a great one for your whole family to enjoy.
Why Apples?
Well an apple a day keeps the doctor away of course! Fruit is always a healthy option and I love to incorporate fruit into my little guys meals when possible. Fruit contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds linked to help promote bone density and strength. Apples are also a good source of Fiber and Vitamin C, both are incredibly beneficial for your little one.
Ingredients:
One Large Apple (I recommend Macintosh or Gala)
One Tablespoon of Lemon Juice
Three Tablespoons of Almond Milk (Any milk of your choice will work)
Cinnamon
Nutmeg
How to Make Them:
Start by peeling your Apple, then cut it into thin slices.
Put them into a bowl with your Lemon Juice then add your Cinnamon and Nutmeg, mix together.
Now you get them into a pan with a little bit of Coconut Oil in it, put the stove on low-medium heat.
Add in your Almond Milk and put the lid on the pan, let it simmer for about five minutes.
You will know when they are done when the milk has evaporated and the Apple slices are soft and more translucent.
Hope your little one likes them!
