Let’s Make Some Healthy Chickpea Crackers!
My toddler loves eating crackers so today I decided to make him a healthier version using chickpea flour and they turned out so good!
I used Chickpea Flour from the brand Bob’s Red Mill (my favorite brand for baking products in case you couldn’t tell) I was so impressed with how easy these were to make and I loved being able to offer Bennett something healthier than his usual store bought crackers. While I will always have store bought snacks on hand, these are great for when I have a little extra time to make something from scratch. Here’s how I made them!
Ingredients:
One Cup Chickpea Flour
One Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
One Teaspoon Garlic Powder
Three Tablespoons of Water
Two Tablespoons of Olive Oil
How to Make Them:
Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine all ingredients in a bowl until rough dough ball forms. Then transfer to a floured cutting board or surface and knead until the dough fully combines.
Use a rolling pin to roll out dough until cracker thin then use a shape cutter to form your crackers. Add to baking sheet then use a fork to create holes in the tops of the crackers. Top with extra salt and bake for 20 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!!
