Let’s Make Some Strawberry Banana Donuts!
Such an easy and clean recipe these little donuts have no added sugar and they are such a yummy treat for your little one! I have been waiting to finally pull out my donut pan and I’m so happy with how these little donuts turned out! This recipe is super clean by having no added sugar and using an Almond Flour they are a healthy treat that your little ones will love. I chose not to add a glaze but these would be so yummy with some lemon powdered sugar glaze (combine powdered sugar and lemon juice). You can also use any fruit of your choice, while I recommend keeping the Banana you could sub the Strawberries for Blueberries, Raspberries or a combination of all three! You will want half a cup of fruit for this recipe.
Why Strawberries?
Besides the fact that they are one of the most delicious fruits in my opinion, Strawberries have some great vitamins in them as well. The two biggest pros of Strawberries are the high amounts of Vitamin C and Fiber.
Ingredients:
One Banana
Five Strawberries
One Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
Half Teaspoon of Baking Powder
One and a Half Cups of Almond Flour
Two Eggs or Half Cup Applesauce
Half Teaspoon of Nutmeg
Teaspoon of Cinnamon
How To Make Them:
Start by mashing one Banana and five Strawberries in a large bowl. Next you can mix in your Eggs and Vanilla Extract and combine everything. Now you can add your dry ingredients and mix throughly.
Add the batter to a greased donut pan then they can go into the oven at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes and they are done! If you choose to bake these as muffins leave in the oven for an extra five minutes.
Hope your little one likes them!
